Multi-Sensor Chip for Monitoring Key Parameters in Bioprocesses

This paper presents a feasibility study on the integration of multiple biosensors based amperometric, potentiometric, and impedimetric detection techniques, as well physical sensors single chip. The sensor chip comprises six for in-situ monitoring important process parameters in bioprocess: glucose, lactate, pH, cell density, dissolved oxygen concentration, temperature. wafer-level parallel fabrication microsensors substrate involves four relatively simple processes. fabricated enzyme were tested with linear working range up to concentration 10 mM glucose lactate show fast response time 20 s. integrated pH was governed by near-Nernstian equation sensitivity 60.8 ± 2.4 mV/pH. Cell oxygen, temperature also electrically tested. Results obtained from experimental measurements can be considered promising step towards realization real-time measurement platform bioprocesses.
